Christian Beisland

NUF President - Norway

Born 1968 and grew up in Oslo.  MD from the University of Oslo in 1993. Resident in General Surgery and Urology at Lillehammer Central Hospital (1996-2001) and at Haukeland University Hospital (2001-2003). Board certified specialist in both General Surgery and Urology since 2003.

Consultant Urologist at Haukeland University Hospital, Bergen (2003-2008), and Chairman of the Department of Urology since 2009.

PhD thesis (in Kidney Cancer) from the University of Bergen in 2006. Associate Professor of Urology at the University of Bergen in 2008, and full Professor since 2016. The main research interest lies within the fields of Urologic malignancies and endourology. He has supervised 10 completed PhD`s since 2016.

President of the Scandinavian Association of Urology (NUF) since 2017, and past President of the Norwegian Urological Association (2010-2017). Former Chair (2015-2017) and present member of the collaboration group in Kidney Cancer (NORENCA).

Mikael Anttinen

NUF General Secretery - Finland

Consultant Urologist at the Department of Urology, Turku University Hospital. With an MD from the University of Turku in 2011, I became a Specialist in Urology in 2018 and a Fellow of the European Board of Urology in 2019. In 2021, I earned my PhD, focusing on novel imaging and image-guided therapy of prostate cancer.

Recently, in 2023, I was appointed as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Turku. Alongside clinical practice, I have served as a clinical teacher in surgery at the University of Turku and conducted independent research at the Turku HIFU Centre and Turku Urology Research Unit. My current focus lies primarily in the field of urological cancers.

Elisabeth Farrelly

NUF Treasurer - Sweden

Consultant urologist and medical director at the Department of Urology, Umeå University Hospital. Born 1957, MD at the University of Umeå 1985. Subspeciality neurourology, urodynamics and reconstructive urology. PhD 2021 with studies on neurogenic bladder complications after spinal cord injury.

Started my medical career in Umeå, then worked for nearly 30 years at several hospitals in Stockholm. Now back in the north of Sweden.

Karl Oddason

Board member - Iceland

Consultant, Urologist at the Urological Department, Landspitali University Hospital. Reykjavik, Iceland and at the Urological Department, Helsingborg Lasarett, Sweden.

Born 1983 in Iceland, MD at University of Iceland 2009, Fellow of the European Board of Urology (FEBU) since 2018.

Former chair of the collaboration group for Nordic Residents of Urology (NRU). Presently, member of the collaboration group in LUTD.
